Use Match Your Space when the wall is the starting point and you want art that already exists — oil, metal, or wood — hung on that wall. Use Create Art from Your Photo when the starting point is a memory: family, a pet, a trip, a still you want painted. See both flows step by step.
Shoot the wall straight on, in daylight if you can. Include some furniture so we can read style and scale, and keep the wall uncluttered. JPG, PNG, or WEBP up to 25MB. A dim, heavily angled, or cropped-in shot is harder to match and harder to preview.
Yes. After you upload, we show the style, color, and subject tags we read from the room. Delete any that feel wrong and add your own before you ask for recommendations. The shortlist follows the tags you keep.
Six at a time, matched to your tags. If none feel right, load a new set. You can also switch landscape, portrait, or square before you preview a piece on the wall.
Yes. Once you pick a piece, we place it on your room photo. Drag to reposition, use the ruler to change size, then choose a frame and order — the same size and frame matrix as our product pages.
Recommendations can include hand-painted canvases, metal wall art, and wood pieces from the CANVONA collection. The mix depends on what fits the tags from your photo.
Choose landscape, portrait, or square first. Sign in, upload your photo, and crop it to that shape. Then pick Option A (our style + texture) or Option B (your own reference painting). Preview the result — three free generations a day — and order the size and frame you want.
Matching a room can start from the upload. Creating art from a photo requires you to sign in before Step 2, so we can save the preview against your daily allowance and your order.
A sharp, well-lit image of a clear subject. Faces, pets, landscapes, and interiors all work. Avoid heavy filters, tiny files, and photos where the subject is cropped at the edge — you will crop to the art shape before we generate.
Option A uses our three art styles (Realistic, Impressionist, Abstract) and three paint textures (Thin, Medium, Thick), plus an optional prompt. Option B drops those presets and follows a reference image you upload instead. Choose one path per preview.
Realistic stays close to your photo. Impressionist loosens the brushwork and color. Abstract takes a bolder reading of shape and palette. Hover each swatch in the studio to see a larger sample before you generate.
They describe how much painted surface you want. Thin is smooth and subtle. Medium is a classic oil feel. Thick is visible impasto. The finished painting is produced with that texture in mind — not a flat poster of the preview.
Three free generations every day per account. If you have used them, you can come back tomorrow, or keep a preview you already like and order it.
The preview shows composition, style, and color. Artists then paint the piece so brushwork and texture hold up at wall scale. Expect a faithful handmade original, not a pixel-identical print of the screen image.
For photo-to-art, you lock the shape first (3:2, 3:4, or 1:1). Exact print size and frame are chosen after the preview, and the price updates from that combination. For Match Your Space, size and frame are chosen on the piece you hang on your wall.

Yes. AI helps you find or compose the image. Custom artwork is then refined by professional artists so the piece you hang is gallery-quality craft, not an unedited generated file.
Custom pieces are made to order. Typical delivery is 7–12 business days, depending on size and finish. We email tracking when the order ships.
Yes. Free shipping on all CANVONA orders, including custom art.
Your room photo and source photo are used only to select or create artwork for your own order. They are not shared with third parties. You can read the full practice in our privacy policy.
Custom work is made to your photo, size, and frame, so it is not a standard off-the-shelf return. If it arrives damaged, defective, or clearly different from what you ordered, contact us and we will make it right. Catalog pieces follow the refund policy.
Sign in and open My Orders. Tracking appears there once the piece has shipped, and we send the same update by email.
